Tyler Smith, LPCC

Tyler specializes in working with those struggling with depression and anxiety. Tyler has a passion for working with marriage and family concerns as well as those who are suffering spiritually. Tyler has had experience pastoring and youth pastoring in churches and continues to serve in his local church. Tyler has been married for over 15 years and has three children. 

Leah Smith, LPCC-S

Leah specializes in working with adolescents with low self-esteem concerns as well as depression and anxiety. Leah also specializes in working with the Plain community as well as treating obsessive-compulsive disorder and trauma. Leah has been married for over 15 years and has three children. Leah loves being active in her local church and enjoys volunteering at church camp, NWOCYC.

Jen Heichel, MSW, LISW-S

Jen has been a mental health counselor for nearly 20 years. Jen graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, then graduated with a Master of Social Work from THE Ohio State University. Jen specializes in helping teens and adults deal with past trauma as well as current life stressors. Jen also assists with a variety of mental health struggles such as grief, depression, anxiety, and infertility or infant loss. Jen has certification in neuro-psychotherapy for trauma as well as certification in religious abuse/trauma. 

Jen has been married to her husband for 20 years and they have 5 adopted children through foster care. Jen and her family are active members of the Ashland Church of Christ.

Joshua counsels from a place of personal experience with childhood trauma, addictions, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from his time as an airborne infantryman in the U.S army. His gratefulness to Jesus is what drives him to walk with others to find the same healing from trauma as well as freedom from addictions that God has brought to him. He has a bachelor’s from Liberty University specializing in Christian crisis, military resiliency, and addictions & recovery counseling. Joshua is a certified facilitator in Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts and can help with pre-marital needs. Joshua is currently finishing a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty as well. Joshua has been married for 13 years to the love of his life and is a father of two incredible children.

Tim Nowlin, LPC

Tim has been counseling for nearly 40 years as a pastor. Serving in a pastoral context for decades and currently, Tim decided to get his professional licensure. Tim now counsels all ages and all contexts, but specializes in marriage counseling and spiritual abuse in religious contexts. Married to his wife for 40+ years and having 4 married daughters and 9 grandchildren has provided a wealth of experience in human relations. Three of Tim's daughters and one son-in-law are also Christian counselors. Tim is known for his availability when clients are in crisis.

Bob has been a clinical counselor for over 30 years. He also served as a pastor for 18 years.  Bob specializes in marriage and family counseling, depression, anxiety, anger management and domestic violence. He is a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary, where he earned a Masters degree in Counseling, as well as a Masters degree in Spiritual Formation. He has a Bachelors degree in Bible and Biblical languages. Bob has been married for over 43 years and has two married adult sons and one granddaughter who is the delight of his life. You’ll often find him out hiking in any weather on weekends.

Alicia Segura, LPC

Nick Strawser, CT

Nick is now available to see clients in Westerville, OH. Nick is a youth minister in Central Ohio with a BA in Student Ministry from Ohio Christian University, bringing experience from working in churches and pastoral care and counseling to the therapeutic setting. He has experience counseling all demographics, but specializes in counseling children, teens and young adults through struggles with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. Nick takes a directive approach to mental health healing and utilizes reality therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Nick is currently finishing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winebrenner Theological Seminary. He loves to spend time at home with his wife and dog, as well as spend time with good friends with good food.

Alicia earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at Ashland University and has earned her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Alicia has experience with helping those struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, issues in family dynamics, building coping patterns and emotional regulation skills. Alicia believes healing is a multifaceted journey and takes a holistic approach when working with all her clients inside a cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, strength-based, and narrative framework. Alicia enjoys spending time outdoors, doing art, baking, reading, and loves her pet bunny.
